*Be sure you know the correct time of your appointment. Allow 10-15 minutes extra driving time if you are unfamiliar with the area where we will meet. I have provided you with a map; be sure you print it and bring it along if you don't know the area.
*Be sure your dog is clean (especially white dogs). Medium and long-haired dogs should be groomed several days prior to the shoot and then brushed completely at home before coming to the shoot. (If your dog is stressed by grooming, please do not have your dog groomed on the day of the shoot.)
*Kindly walk your dog before we begin the photo session. If your dog eliminates in the area, please be responsible and clean up.
*Depending on weather, you may wish to bring water both for the dog and yourself.
*Bring dog cookies, a favorite toy or two, small props, or other things you'd like included in the photo along with a leash & collar.
*A well-behaved dog is appreciated, but have no concern if your dog is not 100% still; the camera is capable of "stopping" action.
*A shoot may take from 30 minutes to one hour. Your patience and calm attitude will help things go smoothly. If you get stressed, your dog will also become upset.
*Any people in the photographs should coordinate clothing colors. Please do not wear all white. Solid colors are best. Large prints will distract from the dog and the rest of the photo. |
*My practice is to move around the location (generally a park) and take a number of photos in different spots. The minimum number of photos taken is generally about 30. There could be many more depending on behavior of the dog, location, time, light, and weather.

*Your proofs will be e-mailed (or snail-mailed) to you in 2-5 days after the shoot. You will be asked to return to me the ID numbers of the images you'd like printed. Prints are usually ready in 1-2 weeks after you indicate your choices. Payment for prints is due at the time of delivery if you have not already paid online with PayPal. |
